Spies in Austria caught pics of the soon-to-debut Audi A7 while on the roads near Salzburg. The car was caught overtaking an Audi A8 on the highway, with a passenger of the test vehicle taking the chance to snap a photo of the saloon.
In the side-by-side photos, the A7 looks to have a similar front fascia, including headlights, nose, grille, and foglight placement, as the A8.
Anticipated engines include a supercharged 3.0-liter 268-hp (200 kW / 272 PS) V6 and 372-hp (277 kW / 377 PS) 4.2-liter V8. Diesel choices should include a 3.0-liter TDI producing 250 hp (184 kW / 253 PS), and a 350-hp (258 kW / 355 PS) 4.2-liter TDI. Rumored engines for the S and RS models include the 444 bhp (331 kW / 450 PS) from the RS5 and either 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 engine or 5.0-liter TFSI V10 from the RS6 with its 572 bhp (427 kW / 580 PS) respectively. Running all four wheels would be a 7-speed double clutch gearbox.
Look for the new Audi A7 to make its debut in Paris this October.
