Under the hood, power will likely be provided by a naturally-aspirated 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with 90 kW (121 hp / 122 PS) and 155 Nm (114 lb-ft) of torque. Eventually, Hyundai will introduce a turbocharged version with at least 131 kW (175 hp / 177 PS). These engines could be connected to a twin-clutch gearbox, but that remains unconfirmed.
Set to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show, the Veloster will go on sale in Europe in early 2011.
