Thanks to spyphotographers, we can bring you the first pictures of the 2012 Seat Leon.

While details are limited, the three-door model is shorter than the camouflage suggests. If you take a look at the exhaust pipes, you'll notice they're recessed compared to the body.

Since the Leon will be based on the Golf VII, we can expect a seven-speed DSG gearbox, HCCI petrol engines and possibly a Twin Drive plug-in hybrid powertrain. The latter combines a 1.5-liter diesel engine with three electric motors, resulting in a 48km (30 miles) range on electricity alone.
