Spies have caught a DB9 facelift undergoing testing. Underneath the camouflage lie styling changes that are of the evolutionary variety, meaning quite subtle but noticeable. The DB9 will get a new front bumper, different side sills and a new rear end. The car will become a bit more elegant as well.

These developments, as well as those being applied to the DBS, should ensure that criticism leveled against the two siblings is finally put to rest. Pundits have long asserted that the DB9 and the DBS are too closely linked in the looks department. DBS additions such as Rapide headlights, LED lamps and a more aggressive front end will ensure this.

The DB9 currently features a 6.0-litre V12 worth 350 kW (470 bhp / 477 PS) and peak torque of 600 Nm (443 lb-ft). It comes with a Touchtronic transmission and can accelerate from 0 - 60mph in 4.6 seconds. Top speed is rated at 306 km/h (190 mph). The sportier DBS also uses the V12 but to more effect at 380 kW (510 bhp / 517 PS) and 569 Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque.

The DB9 facelift will join Aston Martin's growing lineup which now includes the Rapide family supercar and soon to be released One-77.
